Stop By & Say Hi

PURPOSE OF PROGRAM:

As part of CFAL (Communities For A Lifetime), the Satellite Beach Police Department Volunteer Program has a rewarding program titled Stop By & Say Hi.

The purpose of this program is to offer friendship, support and resources to our city residents. Through this program, we “Pay It Forward” and give back to the community by making a difference in someone’s life by showing them that we care and are concerned for them.

We “Pay It Forward” by doing random acts of kindness and our resident’s benefit from it.Our residents may be someone you know such as a friend, family member, loved one, or neighbor, of any age. These residents may be lonely, have lost a loved one, be a shut-in, a caregiver or a cancer patient who would benefit from a social visit.

Through your participation in the Stop By & SayHi Program, you too can give back simply by suggesting a name or two by taking 5 minutes of your time to complete the Stop By & Say Hi Referral Form on the back. We’ll do the rest.  When we make our social visits depending on the need, we take time to listen, answer questions, share City resources and keep the lines of communication open.

Our resources include: Angel Food Ministries, Neighbor Helping Neighbor, Fall Prevention Home Safety Inspections, Safety Tips, Seminar and Event Information through our Recreational Brochure, and Spiritual Guidance upon request. We are also there for Cancer patients who may be going through treatment alone to help with a meal and show love and support. The Stop By & Say Hi Program is truly the “gift that keeps on giving”.

We train our volunteers to make designated social visits and everything is kept confidential. These volunteers understand the dynamics of where our residents are coming from and are here to help.

Please complete the Stop By & Say Hi Referral Form on the back so we can add your special person to our program and show them that we care and are concerned.
